Thank you for visiting the History Hop ("HOP") website, located at historyhop.com. Please carefully read these Picture Terms of Use ("Terms") so you understand what rights you and HOP have regarding any picture ("Picture") that you choose to upload to HOP.

These Terms are meant to protect all of our website visitors and your use of this website signifies your agreement with these Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT UPLOAD PICTURES TO HOP. HOP reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to modify, alter or otherwise update these Terms at any time. Such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting. When we change the Terms in a material way, a notice will be posted on the HOP website along with the updated HOP Terms. By using this website after we have posted notice of such modifications, alterations or updates you agree to be bound by such revised Terms.

HOP may update the HOP Pictures Terms of Use from time to time.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We respect your intellectual property, and claim no copyright to any Picture you upload to HOP. However, as a stipulation of using HOP, you grant HOP the right to edit, modify, quote, or reformat your Pictures. You also grant us a perpetual non-exclusive worldwide royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publicly perform and publicly display your Pictures on HOP and to promote HOP.

THIRD PARTY TRANSFERS

You acknowledge that due to the nature of the internet, if your Picture is saved, or copied, or otherwise transfered to a computer or other device that is not owned or maintained by HOP, either by a person or by an automated computer program, then you agree to not hold HOP responsible for any actions related to the saved, copied, or transferred picture.

You agree to allow users of HOP to save a copy of any Picture for their personal use, as long as the person does not redistribute the Picture, or any derivative of the Picture without your permission.

SOCIAL INTERACTIONS

You also agree to allow HOP members the right to discuss, make comments about, favorite, and like your Picture on the HOP website.

ACCEPTABLE CONTENT

HOP reserves the right to permanently remove your Picture if it does not meet the demands and expectations of HOP. Pictures must represent the respective historical marker accurately. The quality of the Picture relating to its focus, positioning, color, and other aspects needs to be as high quality as possible. Picture must not have been altered by adding text, borders, or any other embellishments. Adjusting the brightness, contrast, hue, sharpness, and other enhancements to the Picture is also not recommended. The original Picture that includes the EXIF data is strongly preferred.
