John F. Kennedy Jr. Biography

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr., often referred to as JFK Jr. or John-John in the press, was an American lawyer, journalist, and magazine publisher. He was the surviving son of U.S. President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, and younger brother of Caroline Kennedy. He was a nephew of Senators Robert F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy, who both served as father figures to him after his father's assassination just before his third birthday.

From his early childhood and throughout his life, Kennedy was the subject of great media attention and scrutiny. Trained as a lawyer, he worked as a New York City Assistant District Attorney for four years. In 1995 he launched George magazine, using his considerable political and celebrity clout to attract attention.

Kennedy died in the crash of a small plane he was piloting, along with his wife Carolyn Bessette, and her elder sister Lauren, on their way to a family wedding on Martha's Vineyard. Source: Wikipedia
