Jimmie Lee Jackson was a civil rights protestor who was shot and killed by Alabama State Trooper James Bonard Fowler. Jackson was unarmed. His death inspired the Selma to Montgomery marches, an important event in the American Civil Rights movement. Source: Wikipedia
